The Ducati Diavel has been nothing short of a radical machine to roll off Ducati’s production line. With the styling of a cruiser, power of a dragster, and road manners of a street bike- the Ducati Diavel could well be considered three different motorcycles rolled into one. It kept the segment alive with timely updates- from cosmetics to a sculpted avatar of the XDiavel, it has always been a desirable motorcycle.
The 2021 XDiavel has now further branched out into two new variants- the XDiavel Dark and the XDiavel Blackstar. These two models are essentially blacked out alterations of the regular models with an extra dash of style and attitude. The 2021 Ducati XDiavel Dark, as the name suggests extends a matt black finish to the entire motorcycle. The frame that usually adorns a red shade on the regular models has been blacked out- so have the gold-anodized front forks.
The 2021 Ducati XDiavel Black Star takes a slightly different approach with a more varied livery to boast. With an interplay of matt black, charcoal grey, and red stripes running across the fuel tank- the Black Star looks more appealing than the Dark. A little garnish of red has been extended to the cylinder heads too.
Though it might be disappointing to see no hardware upgrades- the 2021 Ducati XDiavel already packs enough power with a Testastretta DVT 1262 motor hinged to a trellis frame. A healthy grunt of 160 bhp and sedan-rivaling torque of 127 nm- the XDiavel can dig your posterior into its scooped saddle. To keep the overwhelming power in check, it features a long list of electronic rider aids that reads ride-by-wire throttle, three ride modes, three power modes, ABS, bi-directional quick-shifter, Traction Control, Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control, etc. Also, the 2021 XDiavel range is now Euro5 compliant, and in case the regular shade lineup doesn’t appeal to your liking- the 2021 XDiavel Dark and Black Star should change your mind.
